Ed is an experienced and well-connected political adviser and campaigns consultant.

He has spent his career managing various senior MPs’ Westminster offices, placing many agenda-setting national stories, writing articles for several of today’s cabinet ministers and serving as Director of Communications for Esther McVey in her leadership campaign before helping the communications team on the Back Boris campaign.

His company, Barker Strategy, provides strategic communications and campaigns advice to senior parliamentarians, charities, campaign groups and businesses, and he works behind the scenes with a wide variety of political and industry stakeholders to secure third party support for campaigns, ultimately leading to legislative change.

In a previous life, Ed was George Michael’s saxophone soloist on his last ever live tour.
