Andrea Jenkyns MP

Andrea is the Member of Parliament for Morley and Outwood having been elected in May 2015. She is from Yorkshire and has had a rounded and diverse career with over 15 years in management in the private sector working for multi-national companies and also worked in education.

In her late-thirties, she decided to re-train and has since embarked on studying Economics through the Open University and a Degree in International Relations and Politics. In the last Parliament Andrea sat on the Health Select Committee, and until Brexit was delivered, Andrea sat on the Committee for Exiting the EU. Andrea was previously the Chair of the Education All-Party Parliamentary Group and Vice-Chair of the Social Mobility group in Parliament.

Now Andrea is Parliamentary Private Secretary for the Secretary of State for the Ministry for Housing, Communities and the Local Government.

In her spare time, Andrea is a soprano singer and songwriter and often perform at charity events. She also enjoys spending time with her son Clifford and walking her dogs, Godiva and Suzie.
